Baby Bloom is a sculptural stacking vessel by Finnish-British designer Pia Wüstenberg, created under her acclaimed studio Utopia & Utility. Smaller in scale than the original Bloom, this intimate collector's piece carries the same extraordinary craft DNA — making it the perfect introduction to Wüstenberg's world, or a compelling complement to an existing collection.
This is the Mikado edition — distinguished by its striking striped pattern that brings a bold, graphic energy to the vessel's classic silhouette. The warm amber and brown tones of the mouth-blown glass are set against a smoked hand-turned wooden lid, creating a dialogue between transparency and depth, lightness and weight.
Each component is made by hand across Europe: the glass is shaped by Bohemian glassblowers in the Czech Republic, the wooden top is turned and smoke-finished in Northern Germany, and every piece is assembled by hand in Wüstenberg's German workshop. No two are identical.
Craftsmanship & Materials
- Glass vessel — Mouth-blown in the Czech Republic; Mikado striped pattern achieved through traditional Bohemian techniques
- Wooden lid — Hand-turned and smoke-finished in Northern Germany; rich, dark tone that contrasts the luminous glass
- Assembly — Hand-fitted in Germany; each piece is unique
- Materials — Natural mouth-blown glass, smoked hand-turned wood
