Meet Our Founder & Creative Director, Felix Rios

Felix Rios is a curator, creative director, and design professional whose career spans more than twenty-five years across design, visual merchandising, luxury retail, and creative direction. Throughout his professional journey, he developed a deep appreciation for the transformative power of objects: the way thoughtful design can shape spaces, enrich daily life, and create meaningful connections between people and their environments.

Over the years, Felix cultivated relationships with designers, artisans, makers, and creative leaders from around the world. His exposure to diverse cultures, traditions, and design philosophies nurtured a growing interest in collectible design and in the stories embedded within handcrafted objects.

A defining influence on his perspective came through his mentorship with Nasir and Nargis Kassamali, recipients of the International Compasso d'Oro Award for Lifetime Achievement. Under their guidance, Felix learned to view design not simply as a functional or aesthetic pursuit, but as a cultural language rooted in intention, craftsmanship, heritage, and meaning. Their philosophy continues to inform his approach to curation today.

After more than two decades in the industry, Felix felt compelled to create something deeply personal: an independent curatorial platform that reflected his values and lifelong passion for exceptional design. That vision became Object Origin Collective, a virtual gallery dedicated to collectible design, art objects, and contemporary craftsmanship.

Through Object Origin Collective, Felix collaborates with master artisans, contemporary ateliers, and emerging studios from around the world, carefully selecting works distinguished by their authenticity, material intelligence, and cultural significance. Each piece is chosen not only for its beauty, but for its ability to tell a story and create a lasting connection with those who live alongside it.

Today, Felix's mission is to foster a meaningful dialogue between art, design, and everyday living. Through thoughtful curation, he seeks to celebrate craftsmanship, preserve cultural narratives, and inspire a more intentional way of collecting and living.
