There is something quietly commanding about this bowl. Designed by Nicolas Schuybroek for when objects work, it carries the same unhurried conviction that defines his architecture — an object that doesn't announce itself, yet refuses to go unnoticed.
Available in two exceptional materials — black marble and German Muschelkalk stone — each version tells its own story through texture and tone. The black marble is dense and polished, absorbing light with a cool authority. The Muschelkalk, a fossiliferous limestone native to southern Germany, brings a warmer, more geological character: rough where it needs to be, smooth where it matters. Both are finished with a reversible bronzed lid, designed to be used on either side — a small but deliberate detail that speaks to Schuybroek's belief that functionality and form are inseparable.
This is not a decorative object pretending to serve a purpose. It is a functional piece that earns its place on a surface — a kitchen counter, a sideboard, an entrance table — and improves with time. The stone ages with its environment. The bronze deepens. The bowl becomes more itself.
